About Me
My Story
Hello, my name is Julie. I was diagnosed with a learning disability called NVLD at age 12. School was always hard academically and socially, but got increasingly harder in middle school. That’s when I went to a psychologist for the diagnosis and the right path to follow. After all that, I started homeschooling and occupational therapy. Things have gotten better and easier as time has gone on. With no public school anymore, horseback riding lessons became the new normal social outlet. I have found solitary at-home hobbies that I have gotten interested in and dug deep into (you’ll have to read my blog to learn more about those subject matters!). I have also found that writing has had a therapeutic impact on me and that’s why I wanted to start this blog. The second reason is I know how hard it can be to live with a learning disability and how hard it can be to find help. I want to be the person who can help make resources to make your life easier. Anything is possible, just a few more tools are needed to get there! Thanks for visiting my site and following along with my journey. I hope this helps to make your life better.
